Sub Array

Apache Commons Lang 3.0 is a java library with lot of utilities and reusable components. This requires the library commons-lang3-3.0.1.jar to be in classpath. The following example shows using ArrayUtils.subarray() API. It returns a new array containing the elements between the start and end indices.

package com.bethecoder.tutorials.commons_lang.tests.arrays;

import org.apache.commons.lang3.ArrayUtils;

public class SubArrayTest {

  /**
   @param args
   */
  public static void main(String[] args) {

    String [] strings = "ONE""TWO""THREE""FOUR" };
    int [] ints = 1234567};

    String [] subStrings = ArrayUtils.subarray(strings, 13);
    int [] subInts = ArrayUtils.subarray(ints, 24);

    System.out.println(ArrayUtils.toString(subStrings));
    System.out.println(ArrayUtils.toString(subInts));
  }

}

It gives the following output,
