Default If Blank

Apache Commons Lang 3.0 is a java library with lot of utilities and reusable components. This requires the library commons-lang3-3.0.1.jar to be in classpath. The following example shows using StringUtils.defaultIfBlank() API. It returns default string if the given string is blank or null, otherwise returns the same string back.

File Name  :

public class DefaultIfBlankTest {

  /**
   @param args
   */
  public static void main(String[] args) {
      //StringUtils.defaultIfBlank(String str, String defaultStr)
    System.out.println(StringUtils.defaultIfBlank(null, "N/A"))
    System.out.println(StringUtils.defaultIfBlank("""N/A"));
    System.out.println(StringUtils.defaultIfBlank("   ""N/A"));
    System.out.println(StringUtils.defaultIfBlank("java""N/A"));
