Join from Iterable

Apache Commons Lang 3.0 is a java library with lot of utilities and reusable components. This requires the library commons-lang3-3.0.1.jar to be in classpath. The following example shows using StringUtils.join() API. It joins the elements from an Iterable object.

package com.bethecoder.tutorials.commons_lang.tests.strings;

import java.util.Arrays;
import java.util.List;

import org.apache.commons.lang3.StringUtils;

public class JoinIteratorTest {

  /**
   @param args
   */
  public static void main(String[] args) {

    List<String> data = Arrays.asList("ONE""TWO""THREE""FOUR");
    System.out.println(StringUtils.join(data, "!!!"));

    List<Integer> ints = Arrays.asList(1234);
    System.out.println(StringUtils.join(ints, "*"));
  }

}

It gives the following output,
